Charging 16v Batteries

Recommended Posts

I was wondering was there any big difference in charging a 16v batt. at 14v. I was thinking of buyign some 16v batteries, but I was making sure there wouldnt be any problem chaging them.

16V batteries need to charge at 19+ volts (19.5V MAX for XS Power 16V Batteries), so charging at 14V wouldn't do anything for them. You would need to either use a charger (XSPower 1004 IntelliCharger (16V only) XSPower 1005 IntelliCharger (12V and 16V option), or have a alternator capable of charging at 19.5V.

So its putting out I would say around 4k I have a svr battery in the back right now a platinum 3000 but I think I need a bigger battery so I was wondering what you would recommend.

Well, we learned subtraction in grade school. The difference (-) between 16 and 14 = 2. (16-14=2).
