us amps HC50

Recommended Posts

I've searched all over and have found only a little info on this amp. I do have the white pages. Any and all info would be greatly appreciated.

This amp should be very flexible for the install but I'm not sure how to use it best.

I used to have one of these little meanies back in the day, the above information is 100% correct. Quite a current hungry amp though, very inefficient and if you run the load down on it it will get VERY hot as well. The guy I traded mine to melted the carpet on the amp rack around where it was mounted in his truck at 1 ohm. I'd also say that they seem quite underrated as well though I didn't have the ability to test output back then.

If you have the white paper from the website and that is not enough info what are you looking to find out?

I'm in the design mode and am collecting info prior to purchasing front stage. Just how much are these underrated? And what is the recommended ohm load. I don't want to have an experience like mentioned above of the amp melting into the carpet. Furthermore, I have a chance to get an optimizer and all I have is the manufactures info on it and no real world experience. Navigating the sea of options makes me sea sick sometimes. I need a life line.
