saz 3000d question

Recommended Posts

so here's my dillema. i bought 2 sa12s after hearing my brothers friend erik talk about them on and on. they were on ebay and i got 2 fro 200. sorry im ballin on a budget. so when i decided to buy my amp i guess i lost my mind cause i bought to big of an amp just because i could and the price was good on db-r. was originally gonna run the 12s in my civic but its kind of ugly right now and just bought a pair of 23s for my tahoe so i might as well put the system in it. if I were to run 3 or 4 dual 4 sa 12s what would this amp put out at 2 ohms or 2.667? it will be a sealed enclosure cause i dont think i can fit a ported enclosure behind my third row along with an extra battery.

its rated at about 1600 watts at 2 ohms and i think this is also at a 12.5 V rating

so you should have more then plenty power for 4 sa 12

so just got my box built and i'm going to run three sa-12s and it takes upall space behind third row. with the 3000d playing at 2.667 ohms do i have to add a second battery cause i do not have room in trunk only under the second row seat where amps are going. im getting a 250 amp altenator and replacing my stock battery with a yellow top. will this work or are there batteries small enough to fit under the seat. my truck is an 01 tahoe. also does anybody know someone selling one sa12?

At 2.67 ohms you won't need anything more than the good alt and yellow top.

If you take off the driver rear side panel you can put a yellow top in there. If there is a factory sub, just remove it.
