100.4 2ohm stable??

i was wondering...i have 2 sets of components...and was planning on giving them 150watts each..600watts in all for all 4. I figured i could bridge each channel and run 2 comps off of the bridged channel. but the amp is rated for 320w at 4 ohms not 2 ohms which is what they would be running...i dont guess this would work would it??

Remember it'll be bridged at 4 ohms, each channel will be at a 2 ohm load so you'll have 320 x 2 at 4 ohms.

I sure wouldn't try it. That's a quick way to smoke an amp. If you connect a 2 ohm load to that amp bridged, each channel would only see 1 ohm and it's definitely not designed for that.

What he is wanting to do is run two 4 ohm components wired together before amp to a single speaker wire that is in the bridged channels on one set of terminals (ch 1 and ch 2). So the bridge load will see 2 ohms if im correct on what he is wanting to do.

I should have worded that differently, I meant it would have to be bridged at 4 ohms, go no lower because if he bridged at 2 ohms each channel would be at 1 ohm.

Right... do not bridged at 2 ohms. The amp most likely will play so you might think it is okay but that will shorten it's lifespan quite a bit.

thanks guys..thats what i was thinkin i just wanted to make sure..so i guess i can just run each component on each channel and hope its loud enough...lol which brings me to my next question..does the 100.4 put out more at 4ohms like i am talking about..or does the 125.2 put out more at 2 ohms...also whick one has more flexibility...etc..

If you went to Sundown Audio's website then you could see which one has the most flexibility, did you look up any reviews on either amp. Also buy looking at each amps specs it will tell you which one does what power at what ohm load per channel.

SAX-100.4 is way more flexible than the SAX-125.2.

reasoning asking about the ohms...the 125.2 puts out 200x2 at 2 ohms...the 100.4 puts out 100x4 at 4 ohms...so i was asking whch one was stronger...lol now that i look at they are practically the same i guess
