Running 0 gauge power wire in a crew cab silverado

Recommended Posts

How do you guys do it and still get the door sills back down?

That wire is so thick I cant get the plastic sills to snap back in.

Also for those of you running the amp behind the rear seat how big is the amp?

I have a sundown 1200 v2 and Im starting to wonder if its too big to fit back there. I cut out the rubber to fit the amp in but Im wondering if when I put the seat back in if it wont fit.

Id like to know before getting it all done.

Run the wire under the truck. i have 3 runs of 1/0 cable in a sleeve running along the top of my frame rail on the passenger side coming up through a hole in the floor behind my back seat.

Im running a SAZ1500d and a SAX125.2 behind my seat. check the build log. maybe that will help. mounting the amps is pretty tricky.

i had 4 runs of 0ga in my S15 but i didnt run mine the way you are thinking, i ran mine threw the passenger side firewall and the under the carpet all the way to the back corner.. sliced an X and pulled the wires out from there... you couldnt tell/see/feel a hump where the wires where cause i cut an inch wide of foam out for each wire and just like "popped em in place" where the foam was cut out... ya feel me? :santa:

Ok Ill check out your build thread, I forgot about your thread.

Does it show where you are running the power wire and where it comes back in the truck?

A little different situation with our trucks. 1 run of 4 ga is about all you can fit here

I checked out your thread and saw your battery is on the passenger side. I have dual batteries and Im using the driver side one, I wonder if it matters which battery I go off of?

Thats a good question. i would pull power from which ever is closest in line to your amp. ill be doing three batteries under the hood soon. i built a custon dual inlet intake that opens up a third spot where the factory air box sat
