Headunits and Backup Camera

I did not know where to put this but since it concerns using head units, I thought this would be the best fit section. So first of all some background info.... I have a 1999 Volvo S70 (dont hate) and currently I have a alpine cda-9886 headunit. My car is a double-din so i have the headunit in the bottom slot and a pocket in the top slot. I also have 15% tint all the way around, which I know isn't the darkest but its pretty dark at night, especially backing up....however, i was thinking about redoing the tint and getting 5% all around and 50% on the windshield so I know that this will be even harder to see at night. before i was deciding whether or not to go darker but my tint got scratched today due to the seat belt being flung at it (not me) and it ripped the tint. Luckily its not to big but it gives me an excuse to redo the tint haha.

this leads me to my question... Once i get the tint redone it will be significantly darker so i decided to get a backup camera for night time.... right now i am choosing between two options:

1) Keep my alpine where it is and add a cheap single din flip up and use the alpine for music and what it does now and the flip up for just backup camera (looking at something like http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/p_23551_Absolute_ATV-860.aspx)

2) Sell the alpine (maybe get $199 for it or something) and then buy a double din headunit with video/backup camera etc....

Im pretty sure option 1 is even possible but maybe im wrong so that could rule out that option and so i just wanted some feedback and see what you guys would do and why.

***Also*** please no comments about the dangers of dark tint or windshield tint... ive heard them all and 50% on the windshield is not going to do anything substantial to night vision... its mainly for heat/leather protection and so that the front windows look more like the back because right now the front ones look lighter than the back even though they are all 15%.

i personally would just sell the alpine you have now and get a double did screen alpine

to me it would look a lot cleaner

on top of that, to me it would be a waist of money (even if its cheap) to add another HU just for the back up camera

ones again, this is just my opinion on what i would do, its al up to you.

alrite thanks... only reason I am hesitant with selling the alpine or not using it is because i like it so much how it works with my ipod and how easy it is to use. i love my headunit.

what are some good double din video/backup cam headunits.

well personally if you have the money

i would go with the alpine double din HU

reason for it is i personally love alpine HU's ( i have the 9885 model one and i love it as well )

and by going with alpine double din you will have all the same functions you have now and mush more
