HAT drivers

Recommended Posts

Anybody heard them? I've read on ca that they are top notch comps... Wanted to know what you guys think about them, one dude kept stressing that they were made in china and overpriced compared to other brands.

Thoughts? :)

Yes.

Definitely nice drivers, but it really depends on your needs and goals to see if they would work best for you. Personally I have no need for them, but I don't run anything passive so I have the flexibility to choose drivers specific for my mounting locations and install.

Heard of them and considered them at one point and time, but budget constraints prevented me from buying them. Price is high imo and whether they are made in China ... shrug.gif . Really shouldn't matter where they are made as long as they are quality.

Could you give us some background on what it is you're looking for? Budget, HU, processing, amps, active, passive.

I was impressed enough with the 8" ers enough that I purchased a pair when they were on big big sale. I never put them in anything though.

You can obtain equivalent or superior performance for less cost. Like anything else, some people love them....some people don't.

More details about your system layout, goals and budget would be necessary to really assist you.

This is not the first time I have seen this said.

Thanks for the responses, my budget is anywheres between 200-300 and HAT has come out with an affordable line, here's the link,. It's Results for Hybrid Audio Technologies:Imagine ™

Thats the affordable Imagine line from them.

I guess my decision would be between these and the ID ctx6.5's but I really want a quality driver.

I guess I should just buy both and try them both out...

Edit: guess I did the link right lol

Problem with all car comps is they come with many compromises and shitty crossovers. I'd expect more of the same with both of those, but in their price point they might be just fine. I have no experience with either, but wouldn't expect miracles and as Impious stated from a driver perspective there are many more affordable drivers that will outperform them.
