suggestion

Alright I'm a big mmats fan hence my screenname lol I'm looking to switch to IA and was wondering how a Death penalty would compare to a juggernaut? I have also considered the DC level 5s but not too sure. I want something that can get really F ing loud but sound good doing it. I plan to do at least 4 subs in my setup most likely 15s.The wardens look good too but I'm afraid of not being able to give enough power to them.Whats the suggest wattage for them I'm sure 3000 watts wouldn't be enough.

is 2500 enough to get them sounding good? I read somewhere some guy is putting 30K to 4 15 wardens. Can they take 7500 daily? Would you need that much to get them loud? mmats has been around for awhile they just haven't made any new woofers in awhile.Their juggernaut was in the first car to break the 170 mark, John Henry's van.

First of all welcome and glad you could join us :wavey5:

First were gonna need to know some more information such as amplifiers you will be running, budget for subs, electrical upgrades to the car if any? What vehicle or how much space do you have? The power levels you can throw at your subs depend on listening levels, the size of the enclosure, just for music or burps and etc. There is no such thing as underpowering a sub, a sub doesnt need double or triple its rms to show its output. Any sub in its recommended enclosure with rms power will sound good and get loud to its capabilities.

Sure they could probably take more than rms but it all depends on a lot of factors, hence stated above. Talk to IA and ask them what there limits are and under what conditions dont let a You Tube video mes up your equipment, somebody with that amount of power has there system set around the amount of power there sending there subs.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

Well I'm going to be starting from the ground up I'm starting to plan things out.I'm choosing my subs, amps, etc.I'm going to buy a project car and will be building my system in it.I sold all my old equipment so I have nothing.I want to build a system for daily use but that can put up good numbers on a meter id 150's.I was trying to stay less than 600 per sub but if need but I can go higher. As far as power I'm going to use a mmats 3000 watt amp so I can either do 1500 to two subs or 3000 to one sub.Electrical I was going to take in to account after I decided on my subs and amps but most likely two 300 amp alternators and some batteries.I'm strongely considering IA DP but would consider the wardens if they would sound good on music and were significantly louder than DPs.

I understand that and I do plan to have a strong electrical but whats your opinion on the Death penalty compared to a dc level 5 or a FI BTL?

There all great subs and will due what you want, it might come down to flipping a coin or just contact each company and ask about the sub and see if it will work well in your application.

Depends on installation! All have the capability to get very loud. All 3 come from great companies. IIrmc the LVL5 is an SPL only woofer not sure though, the BTL can be configured to be "Daily" or "SPL" and the Death Penalty can also be customized to fit your needs. As far as which will get louder no one can tell you that.
