Hey all! I'm glad to be apart of this forum!

I am looking to get a new sub woofer. I had a 15" Kicker L5 that died on me. I am looking at the Fi Q but wanted a little advice first. I am looking for a good SQ sub and I ahve heard that the Fi Q is a good one. It will be powered by ZX750.1 which from what I read is a little underrated. The fact that it fried my L5 which is rated at 750w RMS also leads me to believe either the sub was over rated or the amp is under rated. The amp is hooked straight to the battery via a Rockford Fosgate 4 gauge kit. I currently have a cheap auto-zone battery but I will be upgrading to an Optima Yellow top soon. The vehicle is a Chevrolet Tahoe. I listen to a variety of music. From rock to country to a little rap here and there. I mainly want something that is going to sound good. I am looking to stay under $300.

Your L5 failed for a reason, don't let a Q suffer the same fate. Repost in the Fi section with your equipment list and specifications on your enclosure, and we'll try to show you how to prevent a failure in the future.
