Hey guys. You have a great forum here. I've been doing some reading recently on trying to figure out a sub for myself and there is a lot of in depth info.

I'm not new to car audio I've been a hobbyist in it since 1992. Always looking for more power or speakers..lol. as I matured I finally learned the right way to do things and became very picky about my equipment purchases.

I'm not so much into big boom anymore but still enjoy being able to raise the volume and turn some heads. I'm driving a 1999 Mercury Cougar that I'm currently trying to design a new setup in the hatch for. This is what I'm currently running:

HU: Eclipse AVN6620

Front: Polk Momo MM6 components

Rear:Kicker Resolution 6.2 components

Sub:Kicker L5 15D2<-----Looking to replace with an Fi sub. (probably the Q 12 inch) Has the specs for the size I'm working with.

Front Amp:Kicker ZR600

Rear Amp:Kicker ZR240

Sub Amp:Kicker:XS100 (putting out just over 1200W@1ohm)

Thanks for reading :)

Only issue i have with the BL is that they don't recommend a sealed enclosure for it. :( And I will be using a sealed enclosure for spave saving needs. I didn't think 1200W would be too far over the Q's capability.

Thank you for that comment. That is the whole reason I joined :)
