difference between fi ssd and ascendant arsenal 12"

so ive been recently looking at two subs the fi ssd and ascendant audio arsenal both 12" what is the big difference between these two? i know that the fi take 800wts and the arsenal 500wts and their mounting depths are close.

you might have to contact someone at fi or AA to find out. i own a 12" arsenal myself, good sub for the money imo (although i dont know what the prices are anymore since AA only sells thru dealers)

install dependent, in a sealed box to spec (messed around with stuffing too) it wasn't loud enough for me on ~500rms. now when i slapped it in a nicely build ported box it sounded much better. stayed accurate and had nice output. i cant compare it to anything in the price range but if you give us your budget, music tastes and goals we can help you pick the right sub.

okay my budget is 800-900. i listen to a lot of rap so its mostly boomy bass. and i want to go ported but i dont know if i have the space for it.

Well go out and measure how much space you have, give us your max dimensions you have available for a box (height, width and depth).

That's about 3.5 cubes gross. A bit of an in-between number. Have you thought about a couple 10s ported?

something like this would do well

icon 12 and 1000d

leaves you room in the budget for electrical etc

Fi and Ascendant Audio is the same company by the way, one is internet only the other is dealer only.

i think he might be wondering if they are the same subs just re badged.. i dont believe they are at all.

If that is his question, no they are not the same subwoofer. Scott as designed all the woofers differently, from the Mayhen to the Assassin, and the BTL to the SSD. They are all different.
