Dual 4ohm Or Dual 2ohm

I have a 2 channel amp and im tryin to see if I should get a dual 2ohm voice coil or dual 4ohm. How will i be able to wire the subs to get a 2 ohm load to the amp without having both subs connected to eachother

Get a dual 2 ohm. Put each voice coil on its own channel. Both sides will be running at 2 ohms

But If both sides are running at 2ohms aint that a 4 ohm load

Get dual 4 ohm subs, wire the coils of each sub in parallel and each sub to it's own channel........that's how you do it. I don't suggest you do it that way but that's how you would accomplish what it is you want to do.

What type of amp do you have? The best way to do it would be get a dual 4 ohm woofer and run it paralell for a 2 ohm load. I thought you were trying to avoid running your woofer that way because your amp is not bridgeable

If you would list what amplifier you have and how many subs you want, it would make this a LOT easier. Also telling us why they cannot connect to each other would help as well.

I have a Kole 1440 watt class AB 2ohm stable. The subs cant touch because their both in one bx wit separate chambers because the box is ported. I just need to know witch subs to get so that my amp will be OK for a 2ohm load

Get Dual 2ohm subwoofers for a 2 ohm load:

Just because they're in separate chambers doesn't mean you can't wire the subs together.

I assume that's a 2 ohm stable amp in mono operation? If so, then Jay-cee's posted diagram is correct.
