About to upgrade front stage

Recommended Posts

I just sold my BTL and Kicker amp and ordered an SAE-1200d and 2 SA-12's

and I still have a bunch of money left over plus I get paid soon so what do you guys reccomend? I want good mid-bass and very clear sound to go with it.

I will be ordering a SAX 50.4 to power them. Budget no more than 300.

Location: door speakers (6.5)

Budget:200-300 dollars

Install Experience: I can't really fabricate a door pod or anything I only started messing with this stuff about a year ago.

Proccessing: None? I don't exactly know what you mean.

Midbass is going to first and foremost come from your install. You are going to NEED to deaden, build a good baffle, as well as pick a driver that can play low.

I mean the BTL was loud and all but I just wanna switch it up you know?

And yeah my doors are deadened somewhat. I'm gonna have to put more.

So your saying that I should cut out another baffle out of mdf and put it under the driver?

Just curious but what kind of difference would that make?

Depends on how well you install it, deaden it, isolate it, and of course kill the backwave. If you want midbass that is what you have to do.
