New Kerfed Enclosure

Recommended Posts

I am starting a new kerfed enclosure for two Pioneer ts-w3002d4 subs. I am a little unsure of how to calculate the volume of the kerfed or flared port. I have two designs so far but I am unsure of which will be the best. I am gonna do two separate boxes and attach them together.

Which is better?

The designs will perform differently, different tuning, and NET airspace.

Kinda curious as to why you have the ports off axis from the subs like that. If you draw them up in Google sketch up you can check the volume with a little math.

x2, I though you shouldnt have your subwoofer in the opposite direction from your port.

Oh I had no idea that wasn't good lol. I basically wanted the subs to face the rear lift gate on my Jeep and have the port facing over the seat. Is this a bad thing? Will it sound terrible or sloppy?
