Well yesterday my dad was helping me run some wires in my car and decided to shake the hell out of my amp. When he did it ripped out all of my speaker wire connections and everything. So i reconnected everything and checked my connections everywhere but the amp is still not working. My dad is thinking its my RCA splitters. What i was wondering is there a way to test my RCA's with a DMM? Also would a violent shake make the amp quit working? It powers on theres just no output.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well if that is all that happened in between you unhooking it and hooking it back up then yeah I wouldnt see why it could be anything else. They dont need to be shook since that is bad for them since it can mess up the internals and so on. What was the point in him shaking it, that is the question I want to know the answer to?

I only had the amp held down with one screw but it was secure enough to where it stayed in place while driving but my dad felt the need to demonstrate that it should be held down better by shaking the fuck out of it :suicide-santa: . Im pretty sure thats what it is but to be 100% sure i was wondering if theres a way to prove that the amp is getting signal from the RCS's with a DMM. Since its my dad i don't want to start getting mad at him till I know that everything else is right.

Also amp is a RF punch 450.2

So you said amp is powering up but no sound right? Do you have another amp to just simply hook up and test to see if it is the amp itself? Check your RCA's.

Yes the amp is powering up with no sound, iv'e checked all the settings on the amp too.

I have another amp i can hook up but i just wanted to avoid that pain in the ass. So there's no way to check to see if the amps getting a signal with a DMM?

If so I dont know how to do it, but all this time your wasting on getting an answer you could be doing the simple amp swap (shouldnt take no more than 5 minutes to hook up test and then unhook it).
