Do you know how big the enclosure is for the towers and what they are tuned to?

I had around $6,000 to use over the last few months, plus I get a refund once the old ht equipment is sold soo....

so far I am beyond impressed with the polks. Yesterday I plugged in the iPod for some music and found out that the sub wasn't even playing. I've used this for two days and never noticed the sub wasn't on. If that says anything about the full range capability of the R50's. Once I read through the 100+ pages of the pioneer manual, I figured out how to get the sub working. Now it's absolutely nuts. I love it, could not be happier with it.

Yea 6K is a bit more than a splurge for me to at one time...

Now piece by piece, I could surly see 6-10K on a home theater... A tad more if you throw in any work to the walls or much furniture...

I've been parting together a small but hopefully decent HT over the last few years ..

I've got

Samsung 42" LCD

Samsung DVD Player (waiting on the cost of Blueray discs to drop before I upgrade to BR)

Yamaha RX-V3800 Receiver (have not even had the time to hook it up)

Sony SRT-D1015 Receiver in use now, till I get the Yamy goin

2 Old Xboxes (networked, upstairs and down) and a WII

Sony HiFi VHS (still use it every great once in awhile for some old skool Martial Arts Flicks...

Crappy old sckool techniques Front Speakers

Polk RTi A3s for Rears

Polk CSi A4

Sub is a old Kicker 12" Kicker Comp-4 in a prefabed 1.5 cu box powered by a Parts Express 500 watt plate amp, subs is out of wifes old car... LOL...

Would love to upgrade the fronts to Polk RIi A9s and not sure on the sub, maybe something from Elemental Designs.. Either way, it needs an upgrade bad.

Also love to rip out teh walls in the basement (atleast a few) do some insulation/sound deadening and get ride of this old ass Panneling that looks like it could be from ""That 70's Show"...
