Whats the lowest load that anyone has ran a ols school transanna amp at I ran the 200x2 at 2ohm before with no problem i was wondering if anyone has ran one lower than that successfully before.

As good and beefy as the old rockfords are, I will still recommend what the company suggests.

I have never seen anyone run lower than Rockford specs or test, so I couldn't say yes

2 ohm what, stereo or mono?

They are rated 2 ohm stereo, 4 ohm mono. You can run them at 1 ohm stereo or 2 ohm mono without them shutting off unless you're really pushing it, but it lowers the life expectancy of the amp. I'd just stick to manufacturer's specs as Todd mentioned.

i was running it at 2ohm mono hard for about a hour straight and it was was about as warm as it is when i run it at 4 ohm mono

Old rockfords are tough amps but you have to remember at the same time the components are old and the caps will be hating life. Just do what the manufacture recommends they are already underrated

I have a punch 450.2 i run at 2 ohm mono. It handles it fine from what i see it stays cool. Its one of the rectangular boxy black ones.

Use manufactures ratings if you wont to keep your amp, thanks? If not then just try it out and let us know if it last or does not last?
