I will be dynamating also. When I install the dynamat on the doors, where would be the key places to hit. Around the speaker hole and behind the speaker? Thanks.

Buy from SSD not dynamat, cheaper and better :) Link in my sig.

Those MB's could be fine if you like the way they sound. I wouldn't buy them without listening to a set first though. Not my cup of tea.

Thanks for all the input guys. Finally made up my mind for sure. Going with MB QUART PVI216 (PVI216) 6.5" 140W PVI Series Component SPEAKERS 70 watts rms run off a MB Quart DSC280 80x2 at 4 ohms. Going to fab some mounting baffles for my factory 5x7 holes from 1/8" ABS plastic sheet.

It has NOTHING to do with oval or round and EVERYTHING to do with the fact that no one engineers a decent oval speaker these days. *exceptions always, but I don't know of any 5x7's atm

The 6x9's are supposed to kick ass, not much talk about the 5x7's however.

Exactly why I said no 5x7 atm, those 6x9's are more than fine but not worth the price IMO. More than decent though :)

Not sure if you have picked up the ABS sheet yet, or what you are paying for it; but a super cheap alternative would be a couple HDPE plastic cutting boards from Wally world or Target. Cutting the stuff with a high speed blade or rotozip with a spiral bit will not cause much of a melting issue, if any. The stuff just comes off in shavings, is strong as can be, and dirt cheap to boot.

Thanks, I am getting the ABS from the same place as my fuses and Stinger 1/0 to 5/16" terminals. 17" x 21" x 1/8" for like $10. Should work fine.
