cadence txa750d

Recommended Posts

ok i 2 alpine type rs dual 4 ohm voice coils. i have 2 cadence txa750ds.....you can hook them together to get more power...but my problem is that when you hook up the two amps it can only handle a 2ohm load...bbut if i hook up just 1 amp it can handle a 1 ohm load......so what iwant to know is should i bridge the 2 amps and run it at 4 ohms or should i just run 1 at 1 ohms....there is no spec for the amp if its bridged with a 4 ohm load..............thanks

Ok my bad.Now can you give me any advise to my car audio problem ?

I would probably just run one amplifier to both subs for a one ohm load and try to sell the other amp, then get another one and sell the second amp for my change. But that one amp will be fine on those subs as long as you dont send a clipped signal since there is no such thing as underpowering.

you should have baught 2 ohm subs.

the options you have are:

1-sell off one amp and just run your subs off the other.

2- sell the subs and pick up a sub or 2 that will get the most out of your amps

3- sell both amps and replace it with an amp that makes power at 1ohm

4- sell it all and start over

what about running a amp to each sub.the subs are at 2 ohms now.

i hook the two amps together and im running it at 4 ohms.and it sounds ok

would it hit harder if i run a amp to each sub?

also are these amps even any good i got them just because i never had a amp that you can hook another amp too.

Yeah the amps are good but not for your purpose, regardless of how you wire it you still wont the get the best out of the subs. I would wire them to one amp @ 1ohm for the safety of the amps and so you can sell them in the future.

thanks i kinda seen it coming .when i read the manual after i got them and found out that the amps when bridged together wont do under 2 ohms. so i dont know if its worth buying new subs or new amps. i never bought cadence amps before.so i dont know if they are even worth the trouble. i had a kicker 750.1 on them but its the same thing it wont go under 2 ohms, same with my kicker 550.3. Do you think these cadence amps will push 3 alpine type rs?

Yeah they will push them if you strap them and wire the subs like this:

ya if u can add a 3rd sub then move ahead with that. when i said 2ohm i ment 2 ohm dvc subs so u can wire to 1ohm at each amp.

Ok i posted something like this already. I just have a question. How is two amps bridged together at a 4 ohm load , not better than one amp at a 1 ohm load .

the amps are cadence txa750d ,

and the subs are alpine type r dvc 4

4 ohm 1 x 275rms

2 ohm 1 x 375

1 ohm 1 x 600

the 2 amps straped together is 2 ohm x 1200

So what would the watts be at 4 ohms straped , and can it hurt my amps by running it at 4 ohms.

Also would a trade for some kicker vr or cvrs , for my alpines type r be dumb

ok how is 2 amps straped together a 4 ohms. less power than 1 amp at 1 ohm.

the amp at 2 ohms is 1200 watts, so what would it be at 4 ohms .

or 1 amp on each sub at 2 ohms.

thanks for all your help im just tring to figure this out a little more.

no matter what im going to hook it up every way i just want to know why all this is.

It should be around 750 watts at 4 ohm. Shouldn't hurt anything, research your amp alittle more to see if anyone else is doing it, but I dought it. But if it is a 1 ohm stable amp and you have the electrical just gets a new sub(s) (if you dont already have) that can be wired at 1 ohm and can take the full power of the amp(s).

What do you mean by better? Better looking? Better sounding? Louder?

Trading an Alpine for a Kicker? I couldn't really tell you, because it is totally install dependent.

Why do you ask why 4 ohms strapped isn't better than 1 ohm on one amp?

It'll be 600 watts in either case.

And I don't see how this thread is any different than your other one. In fact you asked these same questions in it. I'm going to merge them.

ps- Please type in better sentences. It's hard to understand your questions.

And make your threads useless because right now we arent going anywhere but in circles. It is like you ask a question we give you an answer then you think about it then question us like were wrong, well why ask the question

Nobody is being smart but your taking the info that we are giving you and not using it. Why would you want to run both amps bridged at 4 ohms instead of just using one amp at 1 ohm for both subs. It will be less wire and the same power regardless which way. Changing your subs out for some kicker CVR's would be dumb but CVX's may be a good idea, but listening to them first you may like your Alpines better. Haha and stop getting emotional that is a females trait. I got a good life, if you read the rules you would understand that writing/grammar/spelling/punctuation are all required to be correct so just follow the rules and it also makes it easier to read (it flows much better and doesnt stress the eyes).

OK now i understand about the subs, and your right i was acting like a girl. This stuff is killing me i have bought amp after amp tring to make it pound. So i decided to get another kicker 750.1.And im going to wire 1 too each sub at 2 ohms.Once again my bad for letting the girl in me out. And i didnt read no rules maybe i should. thanks you been a big help to make me unerstand what im working with.

Hold on before you buy another amp, do you already have one kicker zx750.1? If no lets get a budget that you want to spend on an amp(s).

Also do you think a cap or extra battery is called for ? How many farads or how big of a battery? My deck only has one subwoofer output , so should i get a line driver. im going to rewire my subs also at 2 ohms what size wire is best ? Thanks for all the help
