Recommended Posts

I'd like to move up to an 18''. Why? Its cool looking :P

And id like more power, i mean cmon now...more is good ;)

I have a 01 Buick Lesabre Custom just fyi

What would be a good setup?

Id like to go with the top FI 18'' sub loaded out. What amp should i go with? Would I need extra batteries? Where can i get a good box?

Before anybody gives you any advice, go measure your trunk and tell us what are your max dimensions for an enclosure (height x width x depth). Second yeah an 18" does look cool if it sounds good too, if your doing it just for looks and not performance then I wouldnt do it but it is up to you and your money. The best bet is to see what we can fit in your trunk and go from there, a 15" in the optimal box will sound better than an 18" in a cramped box.

Yes you are going to need to upgrade your electrical or you wont have the power to get your amp going.

That may be hard to accomplish with that budget my friend. The good question is what electrical upgrades do you have in the car (big 3 wiring, extra batteries, ho alternator)? Another question is what system do you have now so we can determine a nice upgrade for you?

Do you plan on upgrading your stock speakers or anything?

These packages will leave you with some money left over for a proper enclosure, some wiring and a secondary battery.
