Sealed enclosure for 12" Q

I am going to use my 12" in a room setup for listening to music, it will be on a 500 watt dayton plate amp. what size sealed enclosure would you recommend, looking to keep it under 2 cubic feet.

Well they say 1.2-1.3ft^3 is optimal but you can go as big as 1.5ft^3, so I dont see why 1.5ft^3 on up to the room you have minus some wouldnt hurt. Just my .02

Thats what they recommend for a car, im not sure what would be optimal for a room environment.

I'd probably go as big as possible. Use all 2 feet.

If this is only for music, I'd use all the space you have. If it is for HT, then I'd go bigger than you have space for.
