2 12inch kicker l7s box design

Recommended Posts

Im looking to make a box for 2 12inch kicker l7s. I want the subs to have individual chambers and to face up. I want to use aero ports and have the ports facing back. I want to use 3/4 inch birtch plywood. I am having trouble to come up with a design. I want to tune it to 32hz. I am looking for help with this design and I am looking for opinions on what I want for this box. I want it to be loud with little distortion. the width of the over all box cannot exceed 40inchs and the depth of the box cannot exceed 24inchs.

What about height, what can it not exceed? What car is it going in? How do you want subs and port facing? What amp will you be using?

Its going in an 98 explorer the height cannot exceed 28inches ......and i want the subs facing up and the ports facing back........ I plan on using a Hifonics BXI 2010D Both subs are dual 4ohm and i will have them wired to a 1 ohm load

Yes...of course depending on your definition. Not sure what everyone's SPL fancy is about tuning so low as in general it doesn't really make sense.

I thought higher spl levels were achieved by tuning higher? I dont think I understand what you mean.
