looking for a good chrome spray paint

Recommended Posts

I wanted to paint my port chrome and layer it in plexi. What would provide me with the greatest reflectivity as far as spray paint goes?

I looked into mirror finish film but it seems to be quite pricy. I wanted to spend around 50 dollars max for about 25 sq ft.

Damn man your going to have an impressive build, Im not a genious on things but did you think of some aluminum (might be more than your budget and it might be more reflective). But I dont know just wanted to throw my .02 out there.

x2. Rather Use Aluminum Roof Flashing Or Something Of The Like.

Chrome Spray Paint Is Really Dull, Every Kind That I've Come Across Anyway.

I might just end up buying this stuff they use for solar panels. It is paper thin and has an adhesive backing. It is 94% reflective. Its over my budget but it will work the best.

I dont know how much of an effect reflection is going to make seeing I am using florescent green plexi. Do you think I should just go with the spray paint, this stuff, or something else?

I dont want to mess with the aluminum. It will be too much of a hassle. I only need 25 sq ft so I emailed this company and asked them how much it would cost. We will have to see.

how about you get an actual mirror somewhere for cheap, cut it up, and stick it to the wall of your port?

The stuff I bought is the film used to make mirrors. If you were to buy a mirror that would be at least 1/8" thick. That is taking up port space. I have a big port so it would decrease the area by quite a bit.

Big jon i was thinking the same thing. That is why I asked if anyone knew of a chrome spray paint that actually worked lol.

That stuff is expensive as hell. Very interesting site though. I might have to pick up some of their stuff later down the road.

I ended up buying a silver plated mylar film. Just going to glue it on to the mdf.
