Kicker SX amps VS Alpine PXA-H701/IVA-W200

Recommended Posts

Alright, I need to go 4-way active with 2 sets bandpassed... I thought my only option was to run a crossover, I didn't realize the SX Kicker amps are bandpassable on every channel? So I can run 2 SX900.4 with the remote instead?!?!

Please help! Thank you!

Jordan

Crossovers

10Hz – 16kHz variable HP frequency adjustable in 1/12th octave steps

30Hz – 20kHz variable LP frequency adjustable in 1/12th octave steps

6 – 36dB/octave variable crossover slopes (up to 48dB/octave on the 650.1)

HP, BP, and LP on every channel

I don't believe the SX series offer either the as powerful an EQ or time alignment , both of which the H701 has, both of which can be extremely useful. In which case, I'd stick with the H701 out of those two options.

Though I did find this kinda funny in the Kicker's manual;

Friend’s Reaction: That Shizzle's Off The Hizzle

Stranger’s Reaction: Dude...Sweet...

I'd always prefer my adjustments to be in my headunit, but depending on the rest of your install the SX's could do everything you "need"

haha lol

Im not into either SQ or SPL, just wanna sound good while playing loud.. it would be nice to have time align and EQ options if I did travel down that road, but right now neither of those matter to me... just whether or not I can HP 2 tweets, BP 2 mids, and bandpass 4 midbass :)

Thank you!

yeah Id prefer that too VS the remote. I also like the optical and Ai-Net vs RCA idea... noise floor?
