sure, it should work well...... the calculations i'm seeing puts the 36x18x18 at a little less than 4.7cuft though, right around 4.4 after all displacements..... that won't hurt anything though as it's still well inside the range....

I should add that this is if you're using a slot port @ 12sqin of port per cuft.... if you're going with a 6" aero then its just right..........

thanks for the input

i used the RE audio box calculator to get the right feq. the detentions are:

Top 36 x 18

Bottom 36 x 18

Left 17.25 x 16.5

Right 16.5 x 16.5

Back 36 x 16.5

Front 32.25 x 16.5

P L1 13.5 x 16.5

P L2 5 x 16.5

using 3/4in MDF

all measurement are in inches

but they are all the internal dimensions of the box, correct? I know that you probably know that external dimensions don't matter other than fitting it into the vehicle, but I'm just asking to be sure.

Also, what size is your port opening? What are the dimensions?

Did you plug your external dimensions into the box calculator?

Unless it asks for the thickness of the wood, then you should plug in your internal dimensions. My box is 18.5x17.75x32.5 internally, and after all displacements, it's only 4.35cuft... I didn't actually plug it into a calculator, but I'm thinkin' 4.7cuft is would be the volume if your external dimensions were really your internal dimensions. Better check that.
