Bigger box vs. slightly smaller box...

I'm currently building an enclosure for 1 Fi BL, (15") and I was wondering, which box will better suit the sub, (both will be tuned to 32Hz).

It depends on your prefernces but since they will be tuned the same go for what fits and you have the room left over you want. It will be a little difference but not to much, maybe a little more of a low end with the 4.9ft^3. Just my .02

Made a recent compromise: 4.45cuft. If you must know... the amp is a volfenhag. Ok, it's out and I know it sucks but I was young and easily misled... Either way, manual says it puts out 650 at 1ohm and it's the only choice I got now. Will this amp and box be suitable for the 15 BL? I'm upgrading the amp ASAP, but will it do for now?

Either way, manual says it puts out 650 at 1ohm and it's the only choice I got now. Will this amp and box be suitable for the 15 BL? I'm upgrading the amp ASAP, but will it do for now?

No such thing as underpowering. Clipping, however, can be dangerous.

That box will be fine as long as it is well built, the amp will do until you get something else just make sure your sending your sub clean signals and not clipped ones. Just my .02 and good luck with install and dont forget to post pictures.

I ran a Pyramid amp for months. Hahahahaha. I think you should be fine.

Im a little curious if that amp would actually not blow up at 1 ohm or if it does rated power.
