What are these pole options?!

Recommended Posts

From left to right:

Standard pole cut out of bar stock prior to being turned down. Middle is a pole with a Pchamfer on it. Right is the 'Hyper pole' option on the new BL's. We do all of this here in house on either one of the CNC's or Lathes depending on the part...just an infinite amount of flexibility of what we 'can' do :).

Tons of stuff people simply do not see :)

I do a lot of really custom 1-off items for industrial applications and the military...

I'm sure more 'tamed down' versions of what I do will trickle down into the car audio things eventually...

just throwing this out there, do you guys help design/build or have anything to do with the sound pressure devices used on military ships to ward off pirates and what not? lol I'm sure if people don't know what I'm talking about they will have to laugh at this, but it is real!

I also know before, that Scott said you guys do some stuff that actually helps reduce sound/noise in factories?

what company name is this all done under? Yeh I know a few questions, just curious.

back on topic, although I understand which each pole piece does, it would be neat to see where in the line they are actually installed and a more technical explanation of how they work.

Can't talk about that type of stuff due to ITAR restrictions...

I work under my company AcousTek for the vast majority of that stuff.

I'll work on that stuff in the next few weeks...but in all reality it is really self explanatory..better airflow from a solid chunk of steel to something that is very rounded off and what not.
