looks nice man :drink40: i know you mention earlier in your post sub front stage speakers you were thing about, have you set your mind on any yet? What kind of sub stage do you have in mind?

The mids will be either from Beyma, B&C or Faital Pro (6.5") and the highs will be a pair of Image Dynamic Ultras (Mini-Horns). The sub stage im stuck on is either 2-12" AA Havocs on a SAZ-2500D/2-SAX-1200D's or 2-12" SSA Xcons on a Crescendo 3KWP.

also how you liking that audiocontrol epic 160? i have been looking at them a little bit.

I love the Epic Center and it comes in handy on my Old School and R&B, but at low volumes it adds something extra when you want a good amount of bass. I wouldnt recommend it if you dont listen to Spanish Music or old school music, music nowadays will not sound right with the Epic Center and it can cause damage if not used correctly.

Damn man, sorry to hear about the shipping woes! I like the direction your going with this ... Go with the XCON!

Thats three for the Xcons(2-12"s) and one vote for the Havocs (2-12"s). Just came from outside installing my the other amp MB Quart DSC280 for my highs and as I was finishing up on making the wires look neat it started pouring down raining so I have to hold off on the install for a minute.

****Its all good, got the UPS issue resolved and the amp works fine but word to anybody out there vminnovations.com does not box up your products before sending them out. My MB Quart DSC4125 was shipped in the box like you just bought it from Best Buy and walked out the store with it, no other packaging or any kinds of protection. Just a word to the wise for anybody buying from them online, but no other problems with them (they did ship out fast though so only one plus).****

I have been talking to Aaron all day today, through pm's and personal chat. Im really leaning towards the 2-12" Xcons, port and sub rear firing. Im working on what tuning to go with, Im going to shoot for 60in^2 to 75.4in^2 of port area. I know its not a big difference between 30hz and 32hz but I have never had a box tuned higher than 30Hz and just skeptical on what to go with.

I already have a couple of sheets of wood to start on the box and trying to see if I want to design my own or use the one in the technical section.

Go with a 32hz tune. You will love it. I promise.

I have plenty of updates for you guys but no pictures as of right now. I will be doing 4 Selenium 6W4P speakers per front door, fiberglassed and all that jazz. Im thinking of either a pair of Power Acoustik NX-5 tweeters per front door or the Image Dynamic Ultra Horns, it depends on how the PA tweeters sound since they are drastically cheaper. Im going to purchase one Sundown SAX-125.2 (for my nx-5 tweeters or ID Horns) on Saturday from the SSA store, kinda pissed cause I already had one but oh well. On a good note I do have two amps to sell to make up for the amps needed, I have a MB Quart DSC4125 and MB Quart DSC280 if anybody is interested in them. PM me, should be making a for sale thread for these very soon (both come with original boxes are only 1-2 months old). I will also be purchasing a Zed Audio Kronos to power my Selenium mids.

The sub stage will be 15" AA Mayhem tuned to 31hz, designed by GalaticMonkey. The amp will probably be a Sundown SAZ-2500D, was gonna do a Crescendo but I minus well keep it all Sundown. Pictures are coming soon so be patient once products arrive I will show them off.

Glad to see you've got your indecisive rear in gear! :drink40: I'm just messing around, it's good to see that you take your time to get it right.

Sundown SAX-125.2 ordered! :woot:. I really wanted the Jordan's that come out this weekend but since I bought a pair last weekend I can pass. Its a shame when car audio takes away from your other hobbies and lifestyle.

You are a walking review of products my man. There is not too much of anything you have not had your hands on at one time or another. LOL!

You going to use the crossover/SSF on the amps for processing?

Let me know how you like those tweeters. I thought hard about getting some too.

Well I learn in this game there are only so many questions you can ask but like they say your taste will be different from others so the only way to find out what you want is to try it. Im a pro audio speaker guy at heart and a soft dome tweeter guy (makes no sense but hey thats my taste). If I dont like the tweeters you will be the first one in line that I offer them too Sir-Lancelot :fing34: .

I had fun testing out different products and seeing what I like and dont like between them, also gaining experience as well in the active world. Im almost a year deep in it and still a noob but hey I got a better understanding of when you turn a dial of what to expect or how to counteract it).

What brought you to your final choice for the sub and enclosure set-up? I know you have did your homework and contacted ALOT of people on the subject, SO what fueled your decision? How do you expect the sub/enclosure to sound?

I new I wanted to go with Ascendant Audio Mayhem for awhile, plus I wanted a 15" since I always had 12"s and thought why not try it out since im young and got time to still learn. If it does not fit my needs then I can always go back to what Im used to and thats 12"s, either AA Havocs or SSA Xcons. So it was more like a go try what you want instead of going the usual 2-12" route and do something new. I wanted something that can just tear me and the car apart when I want to crank it and hit up some shows here and there. Im tired of going back and forth between subs and had to make a compromise on what to do. I rather spend $500 on a sub and not like it then spend over $600 to see if thats what I want, just my logic. :peepwall:

I expect it to sound like sex to my ears (Duran Enterprise) all day and night long, great low end authority while still reaching the higher frequencies as well. I honestly expect it to be picture perfect. I also have the advantage with the box to face it forward or rear to see whats better.
