Remote Control Causes Sub amp to go in Protection Mode

Recommended Posts

I can use my Deck (Kenwood KDC-MP338) manually and using the remote to change settings and stuff,

but ever since i installed my amp (Mark Antony GS1000D) i can't use the remote because the remote makes it go into protect mode( it clicks).

I can use all the controls manually but can't use any buttons on the remote (doesn't change anything on the deck). Any idea whats wrong?

So everything on the amp works fine and the subs play? Its just when you use the remote on the stereo, the amp goes into protection?

I hate to ask but is the remote wire from the deck hooked up right? This is a strange problem.

i guess it is, i just ran a 16 gauge speaker wire from amp to deck on left side of the car alongside with the power cable. I wrapped it around the remote wire from the deck and electric taped it.

I've figured out the problem, i'm connecting it to the wrong wire, it was connected to the remote wire for steering remote control. Thanks for your help anyways.
