Extremely Long Port

Hey guys,

I was messing around with some box plans, and for the recommended box for two rl-i 8's (.6 CF @35 hz) the port has to be over 106 inches long. That is almost a 3 CF port! Anyone know how I can get the length down some? Check my math, but I'm pretty sure this is right.

Mike recommends 15 sq inches per driver, so that was the minimum I was going to use.

15 sq inches is more than enough for both 8s

You definately DONT need 15 sq in of port for 0.6ft box for those two 8's.

Whats the Xmax rating on them? 18ish mm?

About 80ish sq in of Sd?

I'd honestly think that 9sq in would be plenty for 0.6 cu ft net. Up to a few hundred watts.
