It should but there are too many factors to determine what it can hit (dont ask how many dbs can this hit only a TL Meter would know since that is what there designed for). You should pick a sub for your listening preferences, the goals you want to achieve and what fits into your budget.

The design is still very solid, although slightly outdated compared to some of the drivers out there in the last year. The apx15 has taken 2500wrms all day. I've seen a few run around 3000wrms+. I kinda see the apx15 as the go-between to the Fi BL & the BTL. It will be louder than the BL all things the same but the BTL should be louder with 2500wrms all things the same. That's the best I can do. I've seen a single apx15 do 144.8 in a 4ft3 net @ 32hz enclosure. I'd say 4.5ft3 net @ 35/36hz would be a very loud daily box.

I feel there are better daily choices for over 2000 watts.

X2

Sundown Audio- Nightshade

Fi- BTL

Ascendant Audio- Mayhem

SSA-Xcon

Soundstream-XXX

RE-XXX

Hertz- SPL Monster

Treo-SSX

Incriminator audio-Death Penalty

DC audio- Lvl 5's

all of the above subwoofer lines are probably about the best in the bizz. not all are the same, as some are closer to only handling 3kw, and others much much more, but it does give you a list to check out what else is out there, and kinda what the best out there is. at least in IMO.

what kind of budget are you looking at, and amp, etc...not sure what electrical you have, or plan on either, but all these things matter.
