Wall Coating? Herculiner?

Recommended Posts

I have been pondering on what to coat my wall with. I was originally going to go spray paint but motha f that. I want a plasticy rubberized coating on the box. My friend suggested herculiner. Have any of you had any experience using this stuff? Is there something better that I can use that will work good?

Textured spray paint? It has a rubbery plastic look to it or does it just feel like it? I cannot really tell from the picture. To me the picture just looks like spray paint.

roll on will tend to deliver better coverage and texture..... if spraying, a spray gun ddelivers the better coverage in comparison to a rattle can.....

spraying in either fashion requires the most prep work......

i would suggest grabbing a couple of rattle cans for trim work or hard to reach areas and roll on the rest.....

another thought process could be to take the vehicle to a truck bed liner shop.....

it will cost more and the more prep work you do, the easier they will be on your wallet.....

a fellar at our state fair had a demo of a pop can that he sprayed.... you could not dent this can....not at all.

he said $350 to $400 for a complete trunk and lid color matched to our car.....

if you do straight black, alot cheaper.... prep work is the other factor....

the roll on stuff is easy enough and is good coverage.... sometimes you can get a deal on it as well.

u could have the entire thing done in duraliner!

Snoopdan had his entire wall inside and out duralined and it was so thick!, he was doin over 151s with just 2 18s and 1000w amp so it just doesn't look decent but also helps with pressure too.

Sorry about the pic

here it is

http://www.rustoleum.com/CBGProduct.asp?pid=79

called American Accents Stone

That is the stuff I bought but want to get something different. Is that duraliner something I can apply myself? If not is it not the same thing as herculiner?

Herculiner works great! Goes on with a roller and turns out great! Just remember to use rubber/latex gloves as Herculiner does not come off with anything but time!
