last time i hooked it up the blue light indicator is on,but i was wondering why it does not power my re adio mx 12 sub.i have it wired in one ohm i can barely hear the sub pound. I called us amps and the guys said that iteh amp needs a 200 plus amp alternator and two batteries to power up the amp the right way.Is it true? He said that a stock alternator wont even power teh amp at all.IThanks for your help guys.

Crock of shit.....plain and simple....to take that amp to full power, yes you would need a modified electrical system HO alt 2+ batts etc. but just for the amp to turn on and the caps inside to charge you could do that off of a car batt just sitting on a bench, with stock electrical that thing could still pull at least 20 amps and be totally fine that's like 190 watts give or take (off top of head) more than enough to hear at normal lessening levels. Sounds to me like the input signal is weak thus little amplification, use a DMM set to AC volts and measure the voltage at the rca's if its higher than 2VAC +/- .3 vac the its probably the amp. And as always check ground, supply voltage, remote wire, plug and unplug the remote gain, etc.

Yeah you could power the amp up with stock alt and battery (but I wouldnt want to fuck up my amp by sending it low voltage just cause I want to bump). Your better off doing it the right way and getting a ho alternator and at least one extra big ass battery in the back to play with it. If you notice voltage drops still then yeah it will be time for a second battery in the back. Just my .02

When you tried all the troubleshooting and the problem is still there. Is your amp new, used? What headunit do you have in your car, check the head units settings and the amps settings (I mean everything just to make sure, even to see if the amp is LPF)?

Yeah you could send it in to them to have it fixed or repaired (is it still under warranty, if so that should be the first thing you do).

i believe its used, when i recieved it it is in beautiful new condition no damage any where not even a scratch.I bought on ebay a couple of years ago,the guy could not afford to put the system in his ride he jus had it sitting around picking up dust.but the guy had 100 feed back he told me if its not working i can return it back, but he never had a chance to hook it up.Good thing that us amps fixes them, ilike the sound of that.I just read iteh us amp tread part on here.
