4500D @.5

Could you run a 4500D on 16v at .5 at it not hurt it? someone told me with the independence rise it wouldnt hurt it...jw if you guys knew he answer :) o bwt it will be goin on 2 12" BTL's..

Are you talking impedance rise? Are you running this daily or SPL? I would recommend running the amp for short durations at that impedance. Do you have the electrical to supply that amp?

Anyways, as stated, if you have a BEEFY electrical system it SHOULD be ok.

However, I'll let jacob give you the final answer because I think he would know better than I would. :)

Of course 1/2 ohm is not covered by free replacement warranty... but I have tested at 0.5 and 16v with no problem.

Great idea just in case something happens (which it wont it will still be covered). Make sure you buy Dual 1 ohm BTLs'.

Great idea just in case something happens (which it wont it will still be covered). Make sure you buy Dual 1 ohm BTLs'.

o i have them sitting in my room as we speak :)

i didint know if the independence rise would effect it...and if u dont ask you'll never know...

Are you sure you bought two Dual 1 ohm subwoofers because you stated in your first post that you wanna wire them down to .5 ohms, what voice coil configuration are you subwoofers?

I have dual 1's now...if i could run the amp at .5 i was gonna try to trade them off and buy or recone them to dual 2's..
