You do realize he has a 36" long class A/B amplifier? Hehe, the vehicle certainly wouldn't enjoy a burp with the engine shut off :)

On another note, when he was still in NC we took it down to a local shop and ran head to head with their van with a wall of 24 10s... I believe the difference was very small, something like 1.4 dB.

:faintthud: WOW!!!

155.3dB with 2x 15" subs (I`m assuming the BASS part of the system is all in the boot area)

If you don`t mind me asking.

Could you tell me if it`s a boot install - Wall - No-wall box - larger than standard box?

Amazing score!! (To me anyway - Don`t forget I`m not from your neck of the woods)

I hope to get as loud one day :D

He's done some impressive scores in NC when he used to live here (I believe 148's were pretty common). Explorers are awesome for SPL - the red one on our web page was doing 152's on a bad day with four 12's in the stock class of SLAP.

that was in my integra with a custom fiberglass box in the hatch faceing the glass just under 10ft3 after port and woofer displacement the box is tuned to 42 hz only because the cars freq. is 48 so i can keep street spl and i do better in comps. the box took alot of figureing and trial and error this box is built in the car and is now part of the car the corners of the box are rounded (in the box better flow)solid fiberglass under them the box is about 1.5" thick (for the most part ) i can give you great MDF or White Birtch specs also nick and hollis have great ways of makeing big #s

:fing34: Cheers mate.

That`s a huge box!!

When I was competing in dB drag STREET C.

I was using 2x DD3515 & 4x PowerBass XA-3000D

The box was only 5.2 Cu.Ft.

All corners rounded off too.

The port I used was a rectangular one which was flared at both ends.

Car peaked at 54Hz

Box was tuned to 43Hz or so. So I needed to shorten the port. Which I didn`t get round to doing.

Due to too small a box size & quite a large cabin area I will probably hit 152dB at the most.

Currently at 150.4dB without changing the port & trying other box mods.

I know I can get it louder. But I`ve other plans now.
