Some clarification about Sundown Amps

Recommended Posts

This is from another thread....

A friend competes SQ in ???MECAi???? and he and a few others use sundown amps and they're getting docked points for noise. It's been traced down to be the amps. They might have good xovers, but they're "noisy". He's switching them out soon. W/what I don't know. If you ever get the chance to swing over to Lafayette, IN and go to Sound Check. See what they suggest. I'm biased to PG so that's what I'd say to use, but for good reasons.

I'll have to look into that clarion HU.

Was looking for some clarification, or some words of assurance from Jacob.

I personally love Sundown Products, and don't want people to be steered away by false information.

I'm not saying that "smgreen20" is not legitimate, just asking for some official info.

Thanks :)

Probably just people talking mess, maybe he set it wrong or has something not grounded. Doesn't seem like he has his facts all together has to guess what his friend competes in "???MECAi????". I could be totally wrong and they are just "noisy".

Jake will be able to tell you all the competitors that have won using Sundown amplifiers in "SQ".

I have been running Sundown amps for over a year now and have not had 1 problem with noise. I remember the post you quoted and I think that person just hasn't had the time to really work with the Sundown product. He is just going off "He said this, He said that" about Sundown products. Obviously it is an installation issue. Sundown FTW!

All the installs I have listened to that were using Sundown amplifiers, have not had a noise issue.
