Okay so im hooking up my new system and i dont know what to get for my fuses or my distribution block. Im going to run 3 amps connected to a powermaster D1200 battery. An alpine 650 mono, 2 channel Rockford punch 550x2, and a Sundown SAE 1200D. What distribution blocks would work? Fuses? Gauge sizes? How would i hook up the battery to the amps and other battery? Anyway, any help will help. Thanks everybody.

since you are running 3 diffent amps i would recommend using this fused distro, i have in the past and it works quite nicely and very easy to install

http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KNF-23

i would use 4gauge for all 3 amps and use 1/0 into the fused distro.

as for fuse sizes i like to match the fusing on the amp its self. so if the sae1200 has 90 amps of fusing then use a 90amp fuse! just look at the amps and add up there fuses to get a total number and use that to determine what to fuse each lead from the distro block!

as for hooking up your d1200 just hook it in parellel to the front battery (positive to positive and negative to negative) and be sure to use 2 fuses on the run of positive wire! one fuse holder near each battery to be safe! and i would recommend using 1/0 wire to wire the batteries up. the more runs the better as long as you can fit them all!!

here is the fuse hold i use and i like to use a 250-300 amp fuse in it!

any more question please feeel free to ask and also don't forget to do the big 3!!

enjoy

He only has three amps but they are all mono, he was just saying 550x2 (how much power per channel). What all equipment will you be running to these amps?

his fosgate is a 2 channel, but Im a little curious to what the two different mono amps are for? only thing I could think of is the alpine on some beastly midbass drivers, but youd want them in stereo wouldnt you.

Okay so i cancelled the alpine 650 and went with an older amp i found in my closet. Its a TMA 250. So I'm going to run that Sundown to my sub, the TMA to my front drivers, and the Rockford 2 channel to two Wake board tower speakers put up in the back. I'm having a bar welded in the back so they can hang. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_7142_Infinity+6000M.html There is the link to the speaks. Will that work? The only thing is is that i don't know drivers to run in the front? its a 97 4runner. any ideas?

All im trying to do is to have speakers loud enough to hear over the sub. So i thought that two tower speakers would do the trick. Any other ideas? I hate music when its straight bass. I like being able to hear the lyrics.

Read the pm (personal message) I sent you. Check out madisound.com or parts-express.com for speakers and tweeters or you might need to invest in a pair of horns (Image Dynamics, they get loud off of low power from what I heard.
