help with box design for 12" Fi btl

Recommended Posts

Hey so i want to tune my box to 32 hz. but i am confused on how this whole box design works. The previous systems that i have had i just bought boxes, but this time i want to build my own. I drive a jeep cherokee so I have plenty of room in the back end for a big box.

1 12" Fi Btl sub. Dual 2 ohm, fully loaded. Brand new. (I have not purchased it yet, but when I do, this is what I am going to buy)

Wheel well to wheel well is about 42 inches.

Back seat to back door is about 25 inches due to my seat coming out at an angle. (I lose about 8 inches)

The floor of the back end to the roof is about 38 inches.

The floor to the top of my backseat is about 18.5 inches.

Here are some pictures that I took of the available space. I hope it gives you a better idea.

Will someone please give me the exact measurements of the port, width, height, length, and any other measurements i would need! that would be soooooooo awesome! thanks.

or even better email me a sketch with all the measurements on it. my email is [email protected]

here is just an example of a box that will most definitely fit in the space you have and also is close to the recommended ported box specs of the woofer. you do not have to build the box like this, but its just an example.

the exact measurements are in number 2. in the picture.
