Yesterday ,I won DB4 at Meca world finals with a 127.9 db using 4 18's no wall and only 2 old school IA 20.1's on 12 v system.

I should have videoes up tomorrow.it was great. got to love the 20.1's. even on fusing i still played the van after the 30 seconds were up.lol

Tips for drive by is the right song to play and how you are set up at the mic.mic is 6 ft away but i do alot better futher out because on my low note.every vehicle is different.

Congrats. Stacy! The doors have to be closed but you can roll your windows down. Its kind of like how the police would determine if your system is to loud.

well, i peak at 50hz in the car and when testing outside the car, i also peak at 50hz...

I thought that an open environment would change the outside peak but it didnt... i'm still stuck at 50hz outside.

I custom make music to peak at 50hz but the loudest i ever got was a 123.1 outside.

I dont know how to make it any better since i run a wall with 4 15s.

you can make a port insert to make the port smaller and with more depth.

so you are suggesting that even though the port i use now doesn't do well when played below 50hz to force the box to peak at a lower note and see what happens?

I've never thought about that but i guess i could try it. I use interchangeable ports so port area would remain the same.

yep thats what i did.my van natually wantes 52-57 hz. but plays in the 40-44 hz range.
