Usher Audi 3-way setup

Recommended Posts

I have the Tweets and Mid-Range already. I was planning on using them with the 4x Vifa PLs I already have, but considering the Usher Mid-Bass a bit.

Click on pictures for more information:

Any opinions?

Crossover points/slopes suggestions?

I think it might be kinda unique to tell people when they ask that my front stage is all "Usher Audio" and see the puzzled look. Although "Vifa" Mid-Bass would get the same look from most people I'm sure.

they look solidly built, and i've always wondered how the "Dome" midrange would sound...

u'll definitely get the "huh" look.

i'm not an sq guy, so i get really answer that part, but i've always ran the sub to between 80-100 as i've never used a dedicated midbass.

what i would try (see how close i am)

sub....70hz

midbass 60hz-300hz

midrange 250hz-5khz

tweet 4.5khz up

ok guru's..how far off am i?

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :slayer:

I like running my sub crossed at 60Hz, mids/tweets at 50Hz and ^

In this case, all depends on install and personal preference as to where u cross it over.

Usher tweets can go a bit lower without probs so I'd say high pass em at something around 3 khz. Nice setup, i use usher speakers in my home.
