That amp will do fine, eventually you may want to get a one channel amp that does around 800-1000rms @ 1 ohm. I would ditch the cap and by a voltmeter (if you run into dimming problems or low voltage then you will need to buy a extra battery or bigger stock battery), you should be fine.

that soundstream amp doesn't pull enough current to need more than that cap.. you shouldn't have any issues with dimming... (I know, I've had the exact same amp--with a 2 farad massive cap it doesn't dim in the 05 G6 that it's currently in)

the amp is only able to do about 600watts and not it's claimed 880... I've tested mine several times and rarely see more than 600 watts at 4 ohm... an OK amp but nothing special... You'll be fine for now, but I see an amp upgrade in the future---the soundstream clips easily as well

what do u mean by "VOLTMETER" i was lookin @ a "BATCAP 800" if i switch out the cap for one of these will i be good even when i upgrade to a better amp.....ive been lookin @ a RF 1501bd the light colored one with the blue badge on top its an older model it says it does 750rms @ 4ohms i wanna stay @ 4 ohms cuz its cleaner and more controlled...right? thats what i was always told at my local shop and by family?

The amp will do better since its made for subwoofer type applications, a voltmetere is a device that will measure you voltage so you can tell if your having electrical problems. Yeah batcap 800s are good, I owned one before on less than 1600 watts and it did fine, no light dimming or big voltage drops. Make sure you re-do your big 3 wiring also to 4 gauge or better.

POWER ACOUSTIK LFA1-4000D this is the new amp im wanting to buy was hoping to get some feedback on it being matched with the FI SSD12D2? it does 1200rms @ 4ohms and has a 100 signal to noise ratio
