I am about to start building my system in my ex cab toyota truck. I am not sure if I am going with 2 Fi Q15's or 2 BL15's, fully loaded yet. But I need a amp that puts out around 1000 watts RMS at 1 ohm for around $360.

So far I have been looking at these:

Hifonics 2600W for around $350

AudioQue AQ2200D for $390

Which one of these should I get or is there any other amp out there in this price range that might be better?

First of all you mean an amp that puts out 2000 wrms @ 1 ohm, did you read the noob posting guidelines. No Hifonics in my opinion, the Sundown SAZ-2000D is the best choice out of them all but its not in that price range for a reason (better quality, more power and still efficient when voltage falls some). Sundown SAZ-2000D FTW

Yea sorry I meant 2000 watts rms at 1 ohm. I was thinking about 1000 watts rms to each sub.

I would go with the Sundown SAZ-2000D but if its not in your price range then the Audioque AQ2200D will also perform well for your needs. jsut my .02

Sundown - SAZ-2000D FTW!

Second I would look into the Audioque over the Hifonics just for the customer service you would get from AQ over Hifonics.

I think Im going to have to go with 2 Q15's with the BP and the Audioque 2200 or find a used sundown amp for around the same price. I would love to buy one new but money is just kind of tight.

I would love to have a sundown amp but even used they are still a little too much for me. But I havent heard anything bad about the AQ amps but are there any other amps for around $350-400 range that would be better than an AQ 2200?

go with the 2610 you will love it

No dont do it, bad customer service and reliability is iffy. If you cant even purchase a used Sundown then go Audioque AQ2200D and you will be fine, good luck.

And who you have heard good things from have dubious knowledge. Really a used option will treat you better.

Sort of disconcerting though to talk about running >2kW and cutting corners...
