Recommended Posts

Yes, you can, and no you don't have to unless you have cancellation issues.

i have a MA Audio hk15x2 and i was wondering if i am able to invert it.

and if i do that i have to invert the polarity right?

Pretty much any sub can be inverted.

You won't need to, unless you have multiple subs.

alright thanks

so i just have to switch the pos and neg after i remount it?

If it's only one sub, then no, it doesn't matter. If there are two subs, and only one is inverted, then yes, you will need to switch the polarities.

If there are more than one with one inverted and one not, and the polarities aren't switched, you will get cancellation...Basically when the subs are on they're up stroke, one will excurt out of the box, and the other will into the box.

alright what does it actuall do

It changes the polarity of the driver, or in simple terms, changes the way the cone moves .
