choosing between 2 15" Q's or 1 18" Q

Recommended Posts

I need help choosing the setup I want to have in my grand am. My current setup is wired with 1/0 knukonceptz wiring with a 200 amp high output alternator, 4 12" kicker cvrs in sealed 1.2 cubic feet box each, with a hifonics brutus 2010 amp. I have focal speakers powered by a pioneer prs-d4100f 4 channel amp with a pioneer deh-p980bt reciever. I want to go with a higher sq setup that can hit lows because the cvrs just cant get that low. I have about 5 cubic feet to work with in my trunk and I wasnt sure if 1 18" Q or 2 15" Q or even just 1 15" Q would be best. I dont even listen to my current setup at full levels beacuse the subs get too loud for my everday driving needs. I would probably stay with a sealed setup for sq reasons. Depending on which setup I should use I would also like to know what kind of amp I should buy to power it. Ive been looking at rockford fosgate amps but if there is a better brand I should look into those suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

u can always underpower, infact when you say you dont listen to your current setup at full tilt is just like putting less power to the subs. no sub requires a minimum amount of power for it to produce music. ppl that say you need atleast x amount of watts for it to sound good are just full shit...

just match your subs resistance (ohms) with that amp that you got, unless u rather sell that and get something more reliable...
