Infinity REF6020CS Component Speakers????

I was planning on buying some Fusion comp's but I decided to go with Infinity REF6020CS for $60 Shipped.

My question is just to make sure these were a good choice for comp's? Any feedback is appreciated, thanks.

I never used Infinity's Reference speaker line but the kappa's I used were great, Infinity does a good job and great brand.

no one can really answer that, its completely subjective if you haven't heard them already, you may hate them or love them...

have used infinitys for a long time , would say that the infinitys will sound a lot cleaner than the fusion, but fusions are a decent brand , had some 6x9 2 way fusions that had good bass... all comes down to what u like :-)

I had the Reference 6.5's and the tweeters are brutal when you turn the volume up. I took them out about a month later and replaced them with a set of Boston Pro 60's. They are somewhat better, but not for what they cost. I have come to the realization that hard dome tweeters are just not for me.

I am not trying to be negative, you may like them and I hope you do.

The infinity references use textile (soft) dome tweets. I had the reference line about 5 years ago and they weren't bad. The midrange was pretty good, upper midbass was good, but it couldn't go too low. The tweeter was good enough until you pushed its limits a little bit, then the sibilant sound came out. It's not a harsh sound like metal domes get, but it's almost equally as bad.

They are a decent upgrade from stock most likely and really aren't bad for the price at all, but if you want great sound, save up a little more.

You sir are correct. They are indeed textile dome, but you would never know it by their sound.
