Cadence ZRS-C6

Recommended Posts

Hey everybody!

I've narrowed down which subs I want thanks to the help from members of the board, so thank you to those people! I will be running 2 15" AA Mayhems.

Now for the amp(s), I would like to run 1 amp as opposed to 2. I was refered by one of my friends to check out the Cadence ZRS-C6...any input on this amp? A friend of mine owns a shop and they those amps run for around $1599 (Canadian).

He also told me about the Earthquake PH10000D which retails for $1299 (Canadian). Any input on this amp?

Also, if there are any other amps I should keep in mind around the 5000-6000wrms @ 1 ohm range, please inlighten me!

Thanks,

Andrew

Lanzar Opti 6000D can be had on eBay for 1100ish. That style opti is pretty solid and reliable.

Don't rule out a pair of 2500 or 3KW amps that can strap (would essentially be 1 amp) Kicker KX2500.1 Sundown SAZ3000D etc. etc. Plenty of options that would get you into that power/price point if you went refurb.

heh I had a bad run with Lanzar a little while back. Not sure if I want to run they're stuff again but im open to suggestions! I would rather buy something new instead of refurb...just my personal opinion.

i haven't used any cadence equipment, but i have heard good things about them. if you have some time that you can wait for an amp i would recomend the presale on the saz-4500. save you a couple hundred dollars and i guarantee you will not be dissapointed in it. here is the info on it. if you have the right electrical (which you better, if you are running that much power) than this will put out your wanted wattage :)

sundown amps are beasts! i have two and couln't be happier!

I was thinking of the Sundown 4500, but wouldnt I need a little more wattage to the Mayhem's since they're rated @ 2500wrms? I'd rather not turn an amp all the way up...

like i said, if you have the right electrical you shouldnt have it top notch... nor should you ever. but even so if you have +- 100 or even 200 watts you shouldn't see much of a difference at that power lievel. is this for a daily driver, or comp?

yeah, as far as i would say that will be fine on a 4500. i still suggest that, just cuz my love for sundown and i know you wont regret it :) but im not the expert on electrical and that high of power, so you will want another opinion for sure.
