lost on configuring a BTL

Recommended Posts

Im totally lost on what options i should choose when configuring a BTL. Im looking to get a 12". Its gonna be used as a daily speaker in a ported box. im confused about choosing the P chamfer and the cooling part, and the rest of the options lol. I already have an amp that gives 2700 watts RMS, so most likely ill be using this amp unless this isnt safe? please help me in deciding which options i should choose while keeping the things i stated before in mind. Thank you in advanced. please help my noob self as much as possible

fully loaded, i think that includes everything except the PChamber...if you go the the FI website, select everything, it'll take you to the next screen and it'll tell you to take off one of the options. and there ya have it!

Yes I did check the options...I was confused about the cooling option because they said there is less metal made with that option which isn't best for spl, so just stick with the p chamber option...so does that means that's better for sq? Sorry if I'm asking an obvious question and I apologize for being a noob

Ok so I did a bit of research and talked to a few people and decided I'll be going with fully loaded...any idea how long the break-in period is?

There is no break in period. Bang that shit as hard as you would any other day. Break-in period is a myth.

Sq and BTL don't really go together.

x2

If you want sound quality go with 2 12" Q's in a sealed box, or ported whatever you want :P

It is true. The speaker will loosen itself up over time. Playing it low will only prolong the breaking in actually.
