Off the top of my head, I believe it is 10.5" mounting depth for the Xcon 18. As for basket taper, will have to check on that as I don't have an 18" here with me handy.

Kewl, trying to see if i can jam 2 of them in my Ext Cab S-10 sealed w/ out doing a wall and keeping box below the rear glass, putting them in a wedge type box. I can get around 7.4 cubic feet out of my box, would this work for 2 X-Con 18's sealed?

For 1 18 sealed that's great but id stick with 15s then you might be able to go ported as well.

I have a pair of ported 15's in it atm, only JL 15w3v2's running off a Sundown 1000d, but i want to do a sealed box this time. Mainly something different. and it's not everyday ya see 2 18's in a S-10, lol. My thinking is, i want to be louder than my current system, but still sound good, so i am thinking 2 x-con 18's off of a Sundown 3000 or 3500 should def. do the trick.

7.4 sealed for a pair of Xcon 18's is going to be tough, as they really should have 4.25 cubes or larger each sealed (8.5+ for the pair). There is someone with their Xcon 18's in 8 cubes sealed per, to give you an idea. Just dropping in the 15" Xcon's over the W3's, you should see an increase in output, upping the power will make a large difference too. We usually suggest going with the smaller size model to make sure it is in the proper enclosure then the larger model in one too small (effectively hurting the performance). With all three of our driver models, it is pretty much safe to assume that if you are not building to suggested sizing, going a little larger is better then going a little smaller.

Damn 4.25 per 18. Thats alot. If i was able to squeeze 8.5 cubes out of my box do you think they'd sound decent still? Or in my case do you think it'd be better to stay w/ 15" woofers?

You are not going to find too many 18's that will function well in less then 3.75 cubes. If you can get 8.5 cubes, and maybe add some polyfill, I think you will be just fine. That will be a ton of pressure in a small space.
