With 4 18's and over 10000w of power I bet you don't want sq, you just want it to be loud and that's that. Sq and such figures really shouldn't be in the same phrase.

4 18 BTL's and 10000 watts doesnt sound anything like sq. I dont know much but I know that. Maybe you just got those two words mixed up?

No I don't have it mixed up. I've had big system before and they have to sound like crap. But I think we are missing the subject. What is the opt. Size enclosure for these subs.

OK well then go with what FI says. About 5-10 cuft at around 32hz for daily if I remember correctly.. I see most people putting them in 7-8 cuft. But 10000 watts doesnt sound like daily so probably tune higher in the 40's or 50's.

Ok, thanks. I think I'll try 6cu. Per woofer tuned at@ 26hz. I'll be firing the woofer and port upward in a 92 suburban. What's your thuoghts?

Are you doing this for competition? If you are I dont think tuning that low will get you very good numbers. If its for daily (which is gonna be LOUD) its recommended to tune in the low 30's. Ive seen port and sub up before and it seems like it works fine but most of what I see is sub up and port back.

Why would you tune your port lower than what FI recommends and what bigrank916 said, if your gonna build it the way you want to then it really is no point in coming on here asking questions? Tune in to 30-35Hz for daily and higher for competitions.

How much power?

7 cuft @ 32 Hz will work, unless you plan on running over 3000 watts to it. In that case I woudl make it smaller.

Why start another thread when you have one already on the same thing?

Some people just dont learn that it would get you a vacation from the site to make two topics on the same thing or have the patience to wait for the answers they want or need.
