I will soon let ya know how the 14k2d is for music soon!

I know and realize the logisitics with wire and amps etc.. I would just like to point out that at one time computers took up whole buildings, then rooms, then desktops, then palm pilots etc...

Technology is always changing and pushing the envelope. Stetsom is not the only company out there with one terminal making crazy power.

ok, then if u know, explain how it is safe and\or is a great performer?

Even if the wire wouldnt catch fire over a period of time, wouldnt there be a noticeable voltage drop, and by noticeable i mean almost a whole volt?

so at the end of the day, the Sundown is the best bang for the buck even though at the end of the day it will be more expensive?

Can't explain why it can do what it says. I'm not a tech by any means but I have seen results from real world testing and can verify that it indeed does make what it claims. With box rise to 2ohm 10k+.

As far as a volt drop....Show me a high powered amp that doesn't have that big a drop or more. I don't know about you but my batts read 14.8 average while cars running. So a volt drop still keeps me waaay above the danger zone.

I promise you won't notice the difference between 5,000W and 4,500W (possibly not even on a meter). I say go with whichever will give you the best customer support and will be easiest to buy and get support for in your country. Try contacting Stetsom and ask some questions and see how they treat you.

will do...

i called a local Stetsom dealer (in canada...not so local though) and it took them 4 days to get back to me about a price...so as for customer service / tech support...not sure how reliable they can be.

and as for the Sundown, I believe the MSRP on the 4500D will be way above the price of the Stetsom but I'll call tomorrow and confirm

:WTFBubble::bull:

If you like actual music, they suck beyond belief. if you want to be a child with a car that goes BBBBZZZZZZZZ and a one note wonder with zero quality, go for it. Any amp pushing that much power that is quality will cost THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS, PERIOD!

If you can really hear the difference between 4500 and 5000W I applaud you since in theory the difference should be appx half a DB and in reality depending on many other factors it could be less than that or nil (assuming some degree of compression at this power level).

Then again some people can hear the difference in a 7,000$ pair of speaker cables. I may just not have that sort of refined ear.

correct me if i'm wrong here but would the 14,000w stetsom amp not be able to produce no where near that power for daily use?

For a single power\ground run, i can't see it doin it for daily without the wire melting... I'm surprised they chose that route for just burping as well.

I don't know how many amps a 1/0 cable can take for just a few ft distance but most manufacturers decide to go with dual power\ground where operating amps close to or over 5kw.

Hey shizzon no offence in any way bro , but 1/0 cant even work in the 14k2d's when u got to secure the allen screw down on that 1/0 the screw will go all the way threw.. i used 2/0 or 3/0 bye stinger ... :fing34: any way in all respect to shizzon he is correct but if your smart and want power 2/0 or 3/0 is the way to get it done ...

well, i have 2/0 ran to my amps and 3/0 from front to rear. Before stinger stopped makin it, they said 350A was the maximum current that could be ran through their 3/0 cable at 17ft. I dont know how that translates into 3ft...

In my set up i have 4 runs of 2/0 to my stack in the rear ... never had a problem with that strand count as long as u make sure every thing is secure .. i kinda wish they would make that dual power and ground that would insure max output ... just remember the music dra is always about half the ampers ... the stetsom 14k for burp would be 600 max amp fuse ... 300 amp music per amp ... If any one gets the 14k2d just makes sure to mount it in a shaded cool area / with proper venting ... hint 's for them wall setup's fing05.gif
